NERACOOS Board of Directors by Program Coordinator — last modified 2008-06-17 16:20

The Board of Directors, established with appointments from the New England Sea Grant Programs, the Northeast Regional Ocean Council, and the Northeast Academic Consortium, will govern the work of the regional association. The board's first meeting is scheduled for August 12-13, 2008.

Established in January, 2007, the NERACOOS Executive Committee acted as a decision-making body until a process for establishing the board of directors was established. The committee was comprised of the PI Team and a subset of the NERACOOS Advisory Committee.

Advisory Committee by NERACOOS — last modified 2008-06-12 16:20

During the first year of NERACOOS development, a regional advisory committee was formed and a work plan was developed for the project. The advisory committee, with broad geographic and stakeholder representation, was established to guide the RA development process. The Advisory Committee's formal role concluded in November, 2007 once draft by-laws and a process for establishing a board of directors were in place.
