Pilots depend on NERACOOS information for safe operations

Ocean and weather information from NERACOOS buoys are used by many in their work and recreation. Harbor Pilots like PJ Johnson of Portsmouth Pilots, rely on this ocean information for safe operations when navigating the region or bringing large vessels into port. The hourly weather and ocean state observations help PJ and other mariners make informed decisions that improve safety and efficiency of commercial vessel operations in our region.
